Follow-up Comment #16, bug #60818 (project octave):
I think the issue mentioned in comment 15 is a bug with sparse. Simple
example:
a=sparse(1);
a(1)=single(20);
To fix change the line with an issue to
eqs(logical (kron (speye (nt, nt), true (nd-1))))=double(edgvec.'(:));
