I just tried octave-2021-08-11-00-42-w64.zip. Exact same behavior. Yes, looking at the backtrace, AFAICS, the threads are locked, waiting for some event. The main thread seems to be doing something related to locale. ... QLocale::QLocale() ... QLibraryInfo::location ...
