:)Yes, I wrote a patch a long time ago. This patch is also available
:)from the download page. But I don´t know if that old patch works in
:)current
:)versions of uisp. Let´s wait on Tod :-) He can answer this question.

:)This patch is for firmware 1.10.

I've been looking into this and it seems that firmware version 1.41 has
changed the protocol. Here's what I get when I run uisp with firmware 1.41:

$ uisp -dprog=stk500 -dpart=atmega128 -v=4 --download of=foo.dump
Transmit: { 0 [30]   [20] }
Receive: { . [14] . [10] }
Transmit: { B [42] . [b2] . [00] . [00] . [01] . [01] . [01] . [01] . [03] .
[ff] . [ff] . [ff] . [ff] . [01] . [00] . [10] . [00] . [00] . [02] . [00] .
[00]   [20] }
Receive: { . [14] . [10] }
Transmit: { A [41] . [82]   [20] }
Receive: { . [14] . [0e] . [10] }
Transmit: { A [41] . [81]   [20] }
Receive: { . [14] . [01] . [10] }
Transmit: { E [45] . [03] . [00] . [d7] . [a0]   [20] }
Programmer is not responding.

I should have some more information some time next week.
