As far as I understand (not very far then ;)) we use gif files for the
website buttons. How much would it hurt to convert them to pngs? The
only drawback I can see is that some older internet explorers doesn't
handle transparency with pngs. But don't tell me the latest one doesn't?
And anyway, png is a w3c standard, while gif isn't anymore. I see lots
of reasons to follow w3c's standards, and none to follow microsoft's
ones.

Anyway, if we want to keep our website hosted on savannah we'll have to
solve this issue quickly.

So, what shall we do?
