It is certainly possible to add such modes, but I have a few questions:
Are the "720p-3D" and "1080p-3D" modes that you list above some kind of
documented output modes for some 3D TVs? Are they standardized somewhere?

I ask because we could either add two new output modes, or, if these
modes just happen to work on your TV and other TVs need a different
number of blank lines, we could add a configurable number of blank lines
for the existing top-bottom output mode.
