OK, so these modes are in the HDMI 1.4a spec, and they are called the
frame packing modes. (The normal top-bottom and left-right modes are
also specified, but apparently not (yet?) supported by all devices.)

>From Bino's point of view, the modes are equivalent: left view top,
right view bottom, with n blank lines between them, where n = 1/49 *
output_height (720p: n=1470/49=30, 1080p: n=2205/49=45). So I only added
one additional mode named hdmi-frame-pack. The user must set the correct
resolution for the 3DTV.

Does the current git version work for you? Are the comments in the
manual about this mode correct?
