Brandon, could you try the following: create a file named xyz.setup,
like this:

(compile someotherfile.scm)
(run (csc someotherfile))

- the idea is that the latter might possibly not be handled properly.
I'm not sure, as the csi invocation for easyffi shouldn't work too...
