Hi Saul,
I'd like to edit the crypted version of a user password @ chinatown,
because I need to create some users and they've sent me he password
already crypted (you know, the crypt function in perl...).
But the password is not in "/etc/passwd" and I cannot find the file
"/etc/shadow". I only see a very cool file called "/etc/pwd.db" and
"/etc/spwd.db"... What could i do? May I edit this file? Do you have
some tool to work with Berkeley DB 1.85? Where are the crypted
passwords?
Once those users are created... do they still need to enter trough
lime.limehouse.consume.net? Do they need a special account o they could
user mine (javier)? If we are going to use this account for more than
one user, we should change the shell (/bin/sh) for some small shell to
only allow people to do ssh to chinatown. Is that possible? Could you
redirect a port of lime's IP to chinatown? (I think you were already
working on it, don't you?).
Yes, I had never worked with a BSD before :-). But now I realize that
BSD in Spanish is "Buscando a Shadow Desesperadamente" (in english,
looking for Shadow :-)).
Thanks.
