You may have noticed that the forthcoming OS X release, Panther, has an 
additional menu item in the main menu bar for items which are specific 
to some object in the GUI. Each time you select an object, all items of 
the context menu appear there (AFAIK).

Seems like Apple Human Interface specialists have come to the 
conclusion, there are actions which make no sense to offer them in a 
global menu. I consider this action menu as local, even if it's 
location is in a global space.

No comment wether this is good or bad.
