IMHO, this is not the time to make such changes. As Miles pointed
out, these issues tend to generate prolonged disputes with
characteristic difficulties to reach a consensus. Also, changing a
bunch of face colors tends to prompt many other color-related changes,
which spread like a cancer. Why start that now? Especially since, as
your other message shows, it might be tricky to even agree on what is
``light'' and what is ``dark''.
