Many thanks for doing this (and apologies for being grumpy).

Does it matter that for the restored changes the dates of the entries
in the ChangeLogs and the dates of the changes in the CVS repository
are now out of sync? Ie, should the dates of the ChangeLog entries be
adjusted to reflect the date you restored the commits to the CVS repo,
rather than the date they were originally made?
