Oh, and I forgot to mention in my last e-mail:

   * The file gc.c, in the function store_normalised and other places,
     uses the variable named "interface".  In MSVC interface is a
     reserved keyword.  I changed it to something arbitrary to get it
     to compile, but I think something like "pinterface" makes sense.
