I believe, if they are the copyright holder, then can relicense their own
code as they like.  Where problems appear is if they have GPL'd code from
other authors introduced into v1 which they wish to include in v2.

Anyway, I'm not a fan of this form of licensing for the reasons you suggest,
although I do acknowledge that it creates some GPL software which wouldn't
exist otherwise.

Hi Dave.  You (and the other recent subscribers) are all very welcome.  If
you can assist us in any of our tasks (hrm, must get a task list up on the
web site RSN), then you are extremely welcome, but keep an eye on the list
so as not to tread on anyone's toes. ;-)
