I didn't consider the clause "at the discretion of the organizers"; I
have to concede that it does make a difference.

I don't think anybody wants to sabotage the meeting; I just think that
the policy idea is very ill-advised.  The balance up to this point is
one interesting talk lost.  We'll see if there is anything gained as
well.
