Depends on your definition, but among US taxpayers I have enough income
to be in the top 1%.

They incorporate in Delaware because the corporation rules favor
the management of the company.  In some other states, the rules
favor the stockholders, or employees, or customers.  Since it's
the management who is forming the company, they do it in Delaware.
It's like the patent holders filing suit in East Texas because
the court there is biased toward patent holders.

To get rich at anything takes luck as well as skill.  What I tell people
is that it takes enough skill to recognize when the luck is happening
and to take advantage of it.  But I have skillful friends who just
never got lucky and thus never struck it rich.
