All you need to know about cvs is at:

Most of the time it is only "cvs update" and "cvs ci filename" .
But we (that is I) planned to switch from cvs to subversion (for now)
next month.  Which is an cvs improvement with similar syntax.

I'm not sure about that.  I remember that we changed something in the
way texts are handled.  I guess this won't be a problem but I don't know.
Why didn't you test it with the cvs version of glob2?
You can use anonymous access anytime:
 "export CVS_RSH=ssh && cvs -z3 -d address@hidden:/sources/glob2 co glob2"

I don't like translatation of names.  It make communication harder and
is most often ugly.

When you change something important (like gameplay) you must announce
on the mailing list.
If you want to change something controversial, discuss it on the mailing
list.
Otherwise do your changes, and when you are proud of them announce them.
And always put enough comments in the source code, that other people
can understand what this is about.

If you want to be a good guy:
File your task in the bug tracker with severity "1 - Wish"
(no one does this but me.)
Use doxygen format to document.  "http://www.doxygen.org/";
(I haven't done this so far, but will.)

Steph agreed to build the glob2 debian package for our next release
this week.  There have been no contributions in the last days and after
testing I think glob2-cvs is more stable than our last release.
I wouldn't like to change anything in cvs until the packages are ready.

If you want to break the feature freeze, ask first.
Traslation changes shouldn't break anything (I hope), but personally I
would like everything to stay the way it is until the next release.

I assume that the feature freeze I asked for last week, is accepted
since, no one complaint.


That said,
you're help is very welcome.  Don't worry about not having much time.
That is the same with all of us.  Better slow development than none.
