  Yes, but so what ? Maybe you're wrong... That's what experimenting is

  It's easier to commit experimental changes to an experimental branch,
where they can get better tested by others interested in better
performance. So far with testing (streaming video included), it works
fine, and drops the cpu load a few percent.
