Good thing that everything I said still applies, then, isn't it?  ;-)

AFAICT it's pretty much isomorphic to the character encoding problem.
There's stuff _inside_ the files that is (potentially) relevant to
file system semantics outside the files.  "Kids: these stunts are done
by accredited professionals.  Don't try them at home."  No?
