I located the 3.16 sources here:
http://git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/gpsd.git/snapshot/release-3.16.tar.gz

I have checked that I have Python 2.7 installed and I updated scones
to the latest version (via apt-get).

While reading the build.txt I found that it is recommended to install
build dependencies, but this happens while doing so:

address@hidden:~/prog/gpsd/3.16 $ sudo apt-get build-dep gpsd
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
E: You must put some 'source' URIs in your sources.list

What does the error message above mean? Or rather how can I get rid of
it? I have no clue as to how and what to do with URIs....
