It is never late to ask.  You might have not found the issue with
bluetooth for a much longer period of time if you were happy using wi-fi
only.

The whole point to buy something from thinkpenguin.com for 59 $ [0]
instead of the very same (but unbranded) device for 15 $ somewhere else
[1] (besides a wish to support free software, of course) is *not* to
investigate whether is works, and why if it does not.
