I believe this only occurs in general.info, correct?  via macros
in Documentation/common-macros.itexi ?

The reason is that we can't use
  @image{pictures/filename}
in info.  I don't know why; it seems braindead to me to have a
lightweight documentation format that requires different paths for
different backends.  I personally have no plans on fixing this,
since doing so would require more beating my head against the doc
build system, and there's far more important problems with that.

Any working patches will be gratefully accepted, though.  :)
