Yeah, that's font design ;-)

I tried to draw the varC clef closely to the pictures here:

The bulb diameter seems to have the width of the
horizontal strokes, the upper picture has thicker bulbs, the
lower picture shows a thinner clef.

But you are right, the C and varC clefs should match better.

Yes. I got your private message considering to add this clef in
varying positions. I'll incorporate these in the next patch set.
