Hmm, is this really a "slow connection"? For me the numbers were
Receiving objects: 100% (32422/32422), 7.30 MiB | 67.00 KiB/s, done.
for git:// and
Receiving objects: 100% (32422/32422), 7.30 MiB | 57.00 KiB/s, done.
for ssh:// and the speed is definitely not limited by my 100Mbps
connection. So either Savannah is much faster from the US, or I just was
very unlucky.
