Follow-up Comment #5, bug #53046 (project octave):

How about posting the draft of your changes.  Maybe someone else will see the
fix for the crash.

In any case, I'd rather have the changes merged now so we can move on rather
than waiting (bad for me) or going on anyway and causing merge problems later
(bad for both of us).
