Shake definately has ABI issues with newer gcc/other compilers, Apple
have not commited to do anything although they have tried building
shake with the newer ones ... might thoughts are they probably
wouldn't want to compile shake under new gcc versions (where you get
all the vectorising support for MMX/SSE/etc) except on the Mac
platform where they'll magically repair the performance gap between
the shake on linux/windows vs OSX by using one compiler on one and
another on the rest ... maybe I'm biased ... :-)
