I like it as well (darn good looking isnt it?)....i tried to build
something like that on phpgw sometime but i didnt find the time to make
a good development out of my ideas....zone (phpwebhosting leader) helped
a lot though, until i dropped the whole idea for later (or so i
thought)...

Im thinking josh its right when pointing at zone's project for this, its
a great example of the way it should be built..... When i dropped the
whole idea of making a tree interface it was because i saw that all i
wanted was a new user interface to phpwebhosting. If you want to change
the sharing facilities, look at the vfs first. Maybe its all there
already, only not available at phpgwebhosting level and it would be
easyer to just change that.

Anyways, if that support doesnt exist, the right way to do this would be
to hack on vfs, so one could have that functionality at the api level
(to access shared files and such).

Also, if all you want is eye candy, look at phpwebhosting first. It may
be easy to clone that and change its UI to the like of phptree than to
port the other thing. All phpgw apps have separate implementations for
UI and backend, so this is exactly where you could hook up your project.
As a ui class(es) for phpwebhosting.

So i just wanted to share on that before you just jump to make another
filemanager when there is already one accepted at the core of this
thing.

Oh...and remember to check on the icon's (of phptree) licenses and
gif/png status, so you can make it compatible with the guidelines of
this project.

Thats great....it was my only objection to phpwebhosting....who can
understand that name?
