recapitulation:
 - you compiled/installed libmustux 0.16.0, everything went fine
 - you compiled/installed/ran protux 0.16.0, everything went fine
 - you compiled mustache, everything went fine
 - but mustache doesn't run
is that correct ?

did you check if your /etc/ld.so.conf contains /usr/local/lib, and run ldconfig 
afterwards, before running mustache ? Perhaps protux is linked statically to 
libmustux...
