hmm... That's really strange! I started from the same rsync checkout. My first step was the rsync, which I really just copied verbatim

This import did not go well then, look at the cvs2svn statistics for my conversion:

cvs2svn Statistics:

|rsync -av rsync://cvs.sv.gnu.org/sources/gap/ gap-cvs/|
a directory gap-cvs, which contains "gap". I used this directory for cvs2svn.

Hmm... Not fixed yet. There are is still an extra directory in there.

   $ svn ls file:///srv/svn/gap/trunk
   ChangeLog
   LoginApplication.m
   gap/
Perhaps this is caused by the spurious commit of those two classes, so that we had besides "gap" two files in the root? I don't need them, but how can I fix this?

Do you think I gan rsync

|rsync -av rsync://cvs.sv.gnu.org/sources/gap/gap/|

Or does this cause havoc? due to Attic and other cvs details i don't know?

Or can I run cvs2svn on gap/gap, essentially, the content?
