Interesting error messages with heatbugs.

I decided to try the binary install and, thanks to the handy tips
compiled in the FAQ, the installation was pretty easy.  Heatbugs ran
OK, but then this ODD thing happened.  I was starting and stopping the 
simulation, changing the random move probability, sometimes singling
out one bug for monitoring with a right click (and the change in 
probability did not show up,incidentally), and then in the xterm
from which I executed heatbugs, I see this massive pile of errors.
They did not happen when the sim first started, but after starting and
stopping and pointing to one bug for detail.
 
Since I'm still learning about programming, I have no clue what
these are, or what I should do about them.  Is this a job for debugger?
