Well, I looked for typos in the Makefile.conf file, upgraded Swarm to 1.1
built for my glibc1 system (I was using the binary installation of 1.0.5),
and still have the same problems with "undefined reference to 'objc_fatal'"
errors.

Which library might objc_fatal be mentioned? A while ago I was having problems
with undefined references to pthread_mutex or something, and it turned out I
need to link the pthread library. This may be another library problem...
