no windows....

Hi, gang...
Lost again.... Gecko actually may be executing OK
internally, but I get No Windows. Not even the control panel.

This is not for lack of trying. It goes down into
tkobjc_pack a number of times. And out again without error, and hums
along on its merry way to normal termination. Without creating any
windows. Internally, tkobjc_pack calls globalTkInterp, which confuses
me. Wasn't that supposed to be gone?

Consulting the porting guide, I noticed the thing about
replacing all <tkobjc.h> with <gui.h>. Of course, applying this then
required me to change about 100 occurrences of getColor and setColor.
(Rude comment ommitted....) Much later, I tried again. No windows.

Gecko predates ObserverSwarm and all that, and I admit to
having thought that was kinda wonky, so I have a control Swarm, which
controls a model Swarm and an optional GUISwarm for display. But I
don't think this matters, since it does *try* to create the windows
at a reasonable point in execution sequence. Just doesn't accomplish
anything.

        Any ideas?

Thanks,
        Ginger

P.S. (I added rectangleX0:etc a la ellipseX0 and swarm rebuilt
very nicely. Haven't seen any yet, of course.... The swarm.c ->
swarm.exe fix worked lovely, too--is much nicer to be able to use
the debugger!!! Thanks! Would you happen to know if the debug junk
in the binaries is compatible at all with Microsoft's scheme? Was
wondering if I could clobber gcc into Visual Studio somehow, for el
cheapo instant IDE--would be nice!)
