Strange. Well, for 1.4.1 I changed the relevant InstallShield routine
to be a bit more paranoid, but from what you've said, I can't say I
really have an explanation. swarm-1.4.1.exe *might* avoid the problem.
The intent is that whatever HOME exists (provided it is in fact a
writable directory) will be re-used. The files that get installed
in HOME are .emacs, .bash_login, and .swarmArchiver.
