Hello Fran,

It is possible to compile Swarm for a native intel install on OSX, however the 
full capabilities of Swarm are not available (graphics and probes are missing). 
 It is a development version, and has not been tested on 10.7 Lion only 10.6.  
You can develop native OSX graphics with Swarm, that's what I have done but 
there some issues not completely resolved.

Version 2.4.1 is the most stable and should give you all the capabilities, so a 
virtual machine might be the best choice.

One caveat, 64-bit Java Swarm does not work.  This is an issue with a 3rd-party 
library.  You are okay if you stick with Objective-C Swarm but if you intend to 
use Java then you should install a 32-bit Linux.
