Sorry for the missing detail. I used the default font of 10pt on A4 paper for the above text. The period symbol was positioned at the beginning of the line, which does not follow the convention (punctuations should never appears as the first character of a line, right?). 

I tried Fandol font, one needs to delete another two characters to reproduce to issue.
