Oh, and in addition to the fact that there are things like languages
that lldb supports that gdb does not, that there are people who
prefer it for whatever reason, and that it is shipped with some
platforms that gdb is not shipped by default on:
gud mode supports completely unfree debuggers. lldb is free software.
It seems like bad policy to encourage the use of non-free tools by
supporting them better than free tools.
