Hi Teus,

I pulled the new git and installed it as per the instructions. I was out most of the day and got dehydrated. So coming back I was very literal in my following of instructions and didn't have my mind turned on.

Anyway, I couldn't figure out why ./configure wasn't working until finally I realized that I needed to be in the gtk subfolder. If I had been more with it I would have done that automatically, but I wasn't and there may be others in the future who have their own set of challenges. Can we add "cd gtk" after git pull and before ./configure on the development page?

I didn't try to restore a backup as my other problem has been corrected. I had opened and closed bibledit 4.7.4 multiple times but was only showing a blank screen. Now with 4.7.5 I have my project back. (I had moved the entire .bibledit folder from the old computer to my home folder as you suggested.) Thank you. I am always amazed at how fast you can implement changes.

Have a nice day,

Brian

Hi Brian,

The option to "Restore" a backup has been improved in the version of bibledit-gtk that is now in the git repository.

It gives better feedback about the process. The feedback that it gives is this: "Restart Bibledit-Gtk for the restore to take effect".

It works well on Linux.

If you wish, you can try installing it on a Mac, to see if it works well there too.

Regards,

Teus.
