gcc 3.0, 3.0.1 and 3.0.2 can't compile neither KDE 2.x or KDE3 CVS.
(mostly "arts" module, but there are also some drawback in KJS and KTHML when 
gcc 3 is used) 
There is a rumor that gcc 3.1.x will finally have a fix for this, but so far 
all people are sticked with either gcc 2.96-patched or gcc 2.95.3
 So, at some point, gcc 3.x has regression comparion witrh gcc 2.95...
