I would have liked to do this but it's not possible from my home PC
since I don't have the necessary system/bandwith for it. It's not a
problem with patches since they are not big but you would need to
cache revisions quite often, otherwise people would just get bored
retrieving ~1000 patches for a new -rc release.
I also can't use my work machine because of the IT policies regarding
pushing code to external mirrors (and I can't guarantee that it will
last for years since one can change projects/companies).
Would the kernel.org people be happy to host the script as well?
