perhaps you misunderstand them (more than they misunderstand you).

Pascal Bourguignon's replies are a good example of misunderstanding me: I am not talking about localizing the function names, which would definitely create a mess, but about localizing the interface, as Hadron very clearly put it. Or maybe Hadron is totally misunderstood too ?

you say, why not redesign to fit more the ideal?

It is not the ideal, it is the practical.

i invite you to cross the schism between writer of text and writer
of programs.  there is lots of fun on both sides.  in this way, i
hope to "localize" you to reality.  :-D

My reality is already full of fun. I am trying to save time for the practical.
