That's exactly what we are discussing here.  Yes, I was using a
complicated mail-client instead of well configured Gnus on Emacs, but
then I have been able to follow and contribute to this discussion,
whereas I could have been spending my time wrestling with Gnus setup.
And even this example is a bit of a stretch, because Gnus is a well
developed system for Emacs, whilst CEDET and friends are not.
