That's fine; it applies to 2.9 as well.

Yeah, you did everything right. It looks like my system is getting confused by the utf-8 characters. *sigh* It looks like all the changes that involved non-ASCII chars were rejected. I've made the changes that I could; could you make a second patch against current CVS? I'll ask somebody else to process that patch.
