One big advantage, as I understand it, is the ease of which a GUI lets
users compose so-called "Finale-music"; it appears that you can
typically hear whether music is composed in Finale or on paper and then
transcribed in Finale [or whatever program].  This may or may not be a
typical GUI or Finale advantage, I'm too unfamiliar with those.  It
automatically and easily sets you as a real composer apart from mere
computer users who produce sheet music :-)
