I wonder if the projects page shouldn't also be part of a wiki, so it can be readily updated by the various individuals involved in the projects. I've been thinking that maybe the best solution is tighter integration between the top level octave pages and the wiki, where a few top-level web pages are static html, but some of the links go to pages on the wiki, which a similar look and feel. For example, the official web site for the Fedora linux distribution, fedoraproject.org is entirely maintained as a wiki. Users are required to sign on with a username and password to edit it. This would require some coordination and some changes in how the wiki is currently managed, but in the long run, this would hopefully make it possible to make the information more up to date.

Tighter integration sounds good to me. To me, almost any way to lower the barriers to participation are better.
