 I think he's talking about Anthony's staging, which is the most
important one for those submitting patches.

 I might be wrong about this but, the Linux kernel way of having
people maintaining subsystems didn't work out here yet.

I believe this is the long term solution but I do think our previous attempt wasn't successful. As we do a better job isolating the subsystems and people get more familiar with the internal bits of QEMU, I believe we'll naturally migrate to this.
