Have any of you out there installed 1.1 on a solaris machine?

I really don't want two versions of my code with different prototypes
so I decided to do it the old fashoned way.  I ran into the ffi problem
again.  The code seems to want it but it doesn't come with the package.
How did you folks deal with it.  SFI-SWARM team, if solaris needs
this then it should be included, if not then the references should be removed
from the distributions.  (If I missed something, I apologize.).
