At the bottom of things, createEnd is a `phase switch'. All that
really means is that the `class' instance variable for an object is
replaced, which thereby changes the set of methods that are available.
A crash on createEnd probably has to do with an overridden createEnd,
or bad, but required -set*: parameters. Can you get a backtrace? Do
you know what object's createEnd is failing?
