If you install a package of the same name, rpm should swap the old
files for the new ones.

I don't think those are fatal.  Look to see what is left there,
and clean up "rm file", "rmdir directory" by hand (as root) if you want
to be retentive.  I haven't looked lately, but I think there are
zillions of books on Redhat things at your local technical book store. 
But "man rpm" should tell you most of the crucial stuff.

rpm will put them in /usr.  Everything you need should be available 
as RPMs.

IIRC, rpm just sees the word "swarm" and treats them the same; install
over the top, use --force.
