Hi Teus,

I'm sure it is.  All Greek to me.  So does that mean that there is a version of GTK installed in the base OS X?  Does it give you any clues about whether the issue has to do with GTK versions?

I had forgotten that anytime I have an app crash on OS X (of any app, not just open source ones) , I always should check the system log with this command.

tail /var/log/system.log

It often has useful information, in this case it told me of the crash and where the crash log was.  Don't know if that applies to Linux generally, but probably many Mac users don't know about it.  I can barely remember to do it when I have issues.
