Our options are:
1. switch to svn and wait until savannah supports mercurial.
2. switch to sourceforce and use mercurial.
3. switch to launchpad and use bazaar-ng
4. put up our own server with mercurial, darc, monotone or bazaar-ng
5. stay with cvs and get headaches, when trying to merge in branches.
Looks like we're up to number 5.
I don't have the time, can someone else take care?
