I moved it _out_ of txtdir/. And put a .arch-inventory file in txtdir/ which classifies everything there as precious. And changed the Makefile to copy it back in txtdir/ before anything runs. And then wanted to commit this change, but failed -- with the wierd error message that foodcodes was not in txtdir/. I'd have left it in txtdir/ but the hardcoded arch nameing rules made for really grody regexps if I wanted to make everything in txtdir/ but foodcodes.txt precious.
